Authentication

I've been thinking for a while about putting down a few words on authentication. Being that this can be/is a very expensive hobby, it most certainly pays to be aware before buying anything and to go the extra mile regarding due diligence.

Mars Attacks! and Spider-Man 2

Yup, back again. Time for another update, although there isn't really that much to update about. Not that much has happened lately, hence the lazy writing :-p
I did however take delivery of a new prop and today I accidentally found me something that I wasn't really planning of branching into...

How did it all start?

Mounting the Saw II Needle Pit Syringe:

So, last entry was about the gems from Smaugs hoard. A mounting that turned out different than I had initially thought it would. Today will be about the Saw II syringe.

Some words on mounting.

As I said yesterday, today is mounting day. What has surprised me a bit is that I actually enjoy this about as much as finding and getting the props. It is something with the whole creative and productive process that appeals to me. also, I feel that by doing this I make the prop more personal and mine.

Saw II and The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug

So, it's been a few days since last. Nothing much has happened, and I didn't have enough to say to warrant a post I felt. But now I'm back. I have received a couple of new props and seen a couple as well.

We're starting:

So, about a month ago I started my new hobby. I started collecting movie props :)

This, for the uninitiated, is when you go out and buy items used in movies and TV-series. It can be anything and everything from great Hero props like Light-sabers and Indiana Jones' whip to small background set-dressing like newspapers, pens or anything else used to make the set look like the director wants.
